2 SAFETY WARNINGS

Warnings

CAUTION!
The Manufacturer declines all responsibility if the precautions below are not taken.
The accomplishments concerning occupational safety and health regulations indicated by the current laws
(Directive 89/391/EEC, Directive 2009/104/EC as well as the specific directives in force pursuant to article 16 of
Dir.89/391/EEC – Transposed in Italy with Legislative Decree 81/2008 and subsequent amendments): have to be
carried out either by the end-user or by the employer: supplying the adequate personal protective equipment,
informing about working risks, health surveillance, etc.... The over-exposure to the vibrations may cause neu-
rovascular lesions to people suffering from circulatory disorders. In case of symptoms which could be referred
to over-exposure, contact a specialist. These symptoms can be torpor, loss of sensitivity, sharp pains, itching,
strength reduction or loss, complexion discoloration or structural modifications of its surface. This usually
happens to one's hands, wrists and fingers.

Results of the tests relating to noise and vibration risk

CAUTION!
Risks due to the operator's exposure to the noise and vibrations of the machine or tool.

1) NOISE LEVEL

Normative references used to determine the sound pressure and power levels:
-
EN ISO 3744
EN ISO 11201
-
Measured values:
-
Sound pressure level to the operator: LAeq = 96.6 dB
-
Measured sound power level: LwA = 113 dB
CAUTION!
The Employer and/or end user shall be responsible for assessing the noise risks according to the national legal
provisions in force in the workplace (In Italy: Legislative Decree 81/08 and subsequent amendments and addi-
tions to Title VII, chapter II).
The user is responsible for assessing the noise risk and for applying the resulting preventive and protective
measures, in compliance with the legislation of the country where the supplied/purchased product is used.
Specifically, since noise exposure during daily work exceeds the limit values set by the legal provisions in
force, the employer and/or person in charge must ensure compliance with the minimum requirements for work-
ers' safety against health and safety risks arising from exposure to noise, including:
Obligation to provide information with specific training.
Obligation to supply hearing protection devices and supervision of effective use.
Limitation of daily exposure, also by arranging adequate work breaks.
Etc.

2) VIBRATION LEVEL

Normative reference used to determine the vibration level:
EN ISO 5349-2
Measured value:
-
AVERAGE ACCELERATION VALUE MEASURED: Asum = 13.46 m/s2
CAUTION!
The Employer and/or end user shall be responsible for assessing the noise risks according to the national legal
provisions in force in the workplace (In Italy: Legislative Decree 81/08 and subsequent amendments and addi-
tions to Title VII, chapter II).
For the vibrations transmitted to the hand-arm system, the acceleration value exceeds 2.5 m/s2, therefore, the
employer and/or the person in charge must, in compliance with the legal provisions in force, provide for the
due actions set out by these provisions.
Specifically, the following requirements must also be complied with.
The operator must be informed about the risks due to exposure to vibrations.
The operator must be subjected to periodic health check.
