The employer or user shall be responsible for the obligations under the current legislation on health and safety at
work (Dir. 2003/10/EC, Dir. 2002/44/EC as well as Italian Legislative Decree no. 81/2008): provision of suitable per-
sonal protective equipment, information on risks, health surveillance, etc....
The over-exposure to vibrations may cause neurovascular lesions to people suffering from circulatory disorders.
In case of symptoms which could be referred to over-exposure, contact a specialist. These symptoms can be
numbness, loss of sensitivity, sharp pains, itching, reduced or loss of strength, discoloration of the complexion
or structural modifications of its surface. These symptoms usually affect hands, wrists and fingers.

2.2
General precautions
CAUTION!
Do not use the tool indoors or in a potentially explosive environment.
CAUTION!
•
The product is intended exclusively for non-intensive use, for plants of a maximum size of 3-4 hectares.
•
Use the tool only with the accessories indicated by the Manufacturer.
•
Use the tool only from the ground, working in a stable and safe position.
•
Always wear adequate and suitable safety clothing for the work to be carried out. Wear protective goggles and ensure
that your clothes are fitted. Avoid wearing neckties, necklaces, belts or long hair not tied as they can be caught between
the moving parts. Use non-slip shoes and heavy-duty gloves.
•
Wear a noise-abatement headset.
•
Do not operate, service or repair the tool if you are under the influence of medicines, alcohol or drugs which could impair
your alertness or co-ordination.
•
The tool can only be used by a suitably trained and instructed operator through safety training, which must be provided
by the employer.
•
Entrust or lend the tool only to persons who are familiar with the instructions for use or trained by persons authorised by
the employer.
•
Keep the tool out of the reach of children, people with disabilities or not trained to use it and also away from animals.
•
The user is responsible for dangers or injuries caused to other people or for damage caused to their property.
•
Do not use the tool when precariously balanced on surfaces where the risk of slipping is present (for example on a hill
and/or on damp grass) or any place where it is impossible to maintain a stable balance (for example on steep slopes).
•
Do not use the tool while standing on a ladder.
•
Never cut branches that are close to electric wires.
•
Before any routine maintenance operations, read the use and maintenance manual carefully. For any maintenance
operations not indicated in this manual, please contact an Authorised Service Centre.
•
Use the tool only for the purposes described in par. "Product description". Any other use may cause injuries.
•
Remove the battery (12) before performing any maintenance.
•
Store this manual carefully and always read it before using the tool.
•
Keep all the stickers with the safety indications in perfect condition.
•
Do not use petrol, thinners or any aggressive products to clean the tool.
•
Avoid working in bad weather conditions, such as fog, heavy rain, strong winds, hailstorms, snow and ice.
•
Do not cut branches in bundles, but only individually, one at a time.
•
Pay attention to cutting branches under tension. They could cause loss of control of the shear.
•
Before activating the shear, make sure you remove the tools used to adjust and tighten the blade. Tools left on the
rotating parts of the shear can cause injury.
•
Keep hands away from the cutting area when using the shear. Do not under any circumstances place your hands under
the branches. Make sure that, when cutting branches, there is nothing that can be damaged.
•
Inhaling atomised oil or wooden dust can cause irritation or intoxication of the operator's breathing system. In case of
prolonged problems a specialist has to be contacted.
•
Liquid leaking from the battery pack can harm the operator. Do not touch any liquid from the battery pack. In case of
contact, rinse immediately with clean water. If the liquid comes into contact with your eyes, rinse thoroughly with clean
water and immediately seek medical attention
