Application of the balancing weights
i
After you have secured the balancing weights, repeat
the unbalance measurement for checking purposes.
8.6.1
Spring-clip weights and adhesive weights for
standard programs
i
LEDs in arrow form (Fig. 9, Item 7) indicate the di-
rection in which the wheel has to be turned in order
to reach the 12 o'clock position for securing the
balancing weight.
i
In the following description the audio is activated.
Internal weight fixing:
1. Turn the wheel by hand.
The LED (Fig. 9, pos. 8) lights-up as soon as the
correct position for fixing the balancing weight is
reached and an acoustic signal sounds to confirm
the correct position.
2. Fasten the balancing weight of the value indicated on
the left display in the highest perpendicular positi-
on (12 o'clock) of the wheel if it is a clamp weight,
otherwise use the electronic calliper gauge for an
adhesive weight.
i
The internal weight can be either a spring-clip weight
of an adhesive weight according to the selected
balancing program.
i
For adhesive weight, the application position is de-
termined by electronic calliper gauge geometry.

Measurement evaluation:
The left display shows the value for the adhesive
weight that must be applied by way of electronic
calliper gauge (Alu2 e Pax2) or as a clamp weight
(Alu3).
The value for the adhesive weight to be attached
by way of the outer weight pliers appears in the
right-hand display.

See chap. 8.7 to fix the spring-clip weights.

When fastening adhesive weights with electronic
calliper gauge, see chap 8.8.1.
External weight fixing:
1. Turn the wheel by hand.
The LED (Fig. 9, pos. 2) lights-up as soon as the
correct position for fixing the balancing weight is
reached and an acoustic signal sounds to confirm
the correct position.
2. Fasten the balancing weight of the value indicated on
the right display in the highest perpendicular positi-
on (12 o'clock) of the wheel if it is a clamp weight,
otherwise use the weight positioning calliper for an
adhesive weight.

internal clamp.
