3.3. USE GUIDELINES
3.3.1. USE GUIDELINES:
• Press „Key - 1" for 1sec, to turn the scale on.
3.3.2. RESETTING
• Press „Key - 2" or „Key - 4", to zero the scale. The
„ZERO" indicator lights on to confirm that the scale
is zeroed. Therefore, following criteria have to be
fulfilled:
No weight shall be hung on the scale.

3.3.3. TARING
• To enter the tare function, Press „Key - 3" or „Key - 5".
The „TARE" indicator lights on. Therefore, following
criteria have to be fulfilled:

TARE SET
To define the weight of the container:
• In gross mode, press „Key - 12". Then press „Key - 3"
or „Key - 5", to enter the Tare Set mode. The scale
displays 00000, waiting for user input.
• Press „Key - 2" or „Key - 4" and „Key -3" or „Key - 5",
input weight. Press „Key - 6", enter weight. The „TARE".

• You can then put the goods into the container to
determine their own weight.
CAUTION:
Tare will reduce the apparent overloading range
of the scale. For example, if a 5000*2kg scale has a
1000kg container as tare, the scale will overload at a
new weight of 4018kg (5000 – 1000 + additional 9
divisions of 2kg).
• To quit the tare function (back to net mode), press
„Key - 3" or „Key - 5". The „TARE" indicator lights off.
Therefore, following criteria have to be fulfilled:

3.3.4. DISPLAY LOCK
The lock function enables the scale to freeze the weight
value at standstill.
• Press „Key - 6", to lock the scale. The indicator „HOLD".

• To quit the lock function, press „Key - 6". The indicator
„HOLD" lights off.
3.3.5. ACCUMULATE
The accumulate function enables to measure the weight
of a charge and to then add another one to weight both
charges together. This function can be combined with the
TARE function.
Therefore, following criteria have to be fulfilled:

The scale must be stable, otherwise, the scale will

The weight must exceed 0, otherwise, the scale will

The scale must return zero before new weight can be

accumulated otherwise, the scale will display „InuLd"
• Charge the scale and let it weight. When you´re done
with weighing the first load, press „Key – 7 a charge
the second load to determine the total weight. "ACC"
displays, indicating that the weight is accumulated.
VIEWING THE ACCUMULATED WEIGHT
• To view the accumulated weight, press „Key – 9",
to enter the "View mode". The display flashes the
accumulated weight. if the accumulated weight is
zero, the scale will display „noACC"
• Press „Key – 6", to view high 5-digital and low
5-digital.
• Press „Key – 1" or „Key – 11", to exit View mode.
DELETING ACCUMULATED WEIGHT
• To delete the last accumulated weight, press „Key –
8". "dEL" displays, indicating that you deleted the last
accumulated weight. The delete function only deletes
the last weight. If you already deleted the last weight,
the scale displays „nodEL".
CLEARING ALL WEIGHT
• To clear all weights, press „Key – 12", and then press
„Key – 8". „CLEAr" displays, indicating all weights are
cleared.
3.3.6. UNIT SWITCH
• To switch the unit, press „Key – 12", and then press
„Key – 8".
When the scale switches to kg, „Un PG" displays.

When the scale switches to lb, „Un Lb" displays and
»
the indicator lb lights on.
When the scale switches to USR, „UnUSr" displays,
»
and the indicator lb lights off. The unit switch
changes the unit temporarily. The scale does not save
the unit unless the system unit is changed.
3.3.7. RESOLUTION SWITCH
• Press „Key – 12" and then press „Key – 7", to switch the
display resolution. The scale displays new resolution.
The resolution switch changes the apparent
overloading range of scale. For example, if a 3000*1kg
scale is switched to 3000*0.5kg, it will overload at
3004.5kg (3000 + 9*0.5), while by default, it overloads
at 3009kg (3000 + 9*1).

• The default resolution will be restored the next time
when scale is powered on or by entering the User
Setup. To save the changes in resolution for later,
enter User Setup and change Resolution.
3.3.8. BATTERY POWER VIEW
• Press „Key – 12 and then press „Key – 9", to view the
battery power. The scale displays the battery voltage,
for example, „U 6.38" indicating 6.38V.
3.3.9. USER SETUP
• Press „Key – 12" and then press „Key – 6", to enter the
User Setup mode. Message „SEtUP" displays.
• Press „Key – 6", to enter the Resolution setup.
3.3.9.1. RESOLUTION
The scale displays the resolution to be set. For example,
„E 0.5", indicating that the current resolution is set to 0.5.
• Press „Key – 2" or „Key – 4" and „Key – 7", to change
the resolution.
• Press "Key – 1" or „Key – 11", to exit without saving.
Press „Key – 12", exit and save.
• Press „Key – 6", to enter the Auto-Off setup.
3.3.9.2. AUTO-OFF TIME
The scale displays auto-off time, e.g. „oFF 15", indicating
that the scale will turn off after 15min. The Auto-Off time
can be set to: 0 (never auto-off), 5min, 15min, 30min,
60min.
The Auto-Off starts to countdown timer when there's no
action or as soon as the load is stable. Any key pressing or
motion in load restarts the countdown timer.
• Press „Key – 2" or „Key – 4" and „Key – 7", to change
the Auto-Off time.
• Press „Key – 1" or „Key – 11", to exit without saving.
Press „Key – 12", exit and save.
• Press „Key – 6", enter the Idle Time setup.
3.3.9.3. IDLE TIME
The scale displays the idle time, e.g. „IdL30", indicating
30sec.
To maximize the battery life, the scale automatically enters
the Idle Mode when there's no action or the load is stable.
Any key pressing or motion in load wakes up scale from
Idle Mode.
• Press „Key – 1" or „Key – 11", to exit without saving.
Press „Key – 12", exit and save.
• Press „Key – 6", to enter the Brightness / Backlight
setup.
3.3.9.4. BACKLIGHT
LCD display backlight turn on and off – 0 (backlight off), 1
(backlight on).
• Press „Key – 2" or „Key – 4" to change the LCD
backlight status
• Press „Key – 1" or „Key – 11", to exit without saving.
Press „Key – 12", o exit and save. For the crane scale
SBS-KW-1000/10B: the scale displays LED brightness
status, e.g. „br1". Brightness can be set on 1 - the
weakest brightness, 2 – average brightness, 3 – the
strongest brightness.
Press „Key – 2" or „Key – 4" to change the brightness

level.
Press „Key – 1" or „Key – 11", to exit without saving.

Press „Key – 12", to exit and save.

• Press „Key – 6", to enter Anti-Motion setup.

3.3.9.5. ANTI-MOTION
The scale displays the Anti-Motion level to be set, e.g. „Stb
1", indicating level 1. The weaker Anti-Motion is, the faster
the scale displays the weight, but the longer it takes to be
stable. Anti-Motion can be set to: 0 (off), 1 (weakest), 2
(weak), 3 (normal), 4 (strong),
5 (strongest).
• Press „Key – 2" or „Key – 4" and „Key – 7", to change
the Anti-Motion level.
• Press „Key – 1" or „Key – 11", to exit without saving.
Press „Key – 12", exit and save.
• Press „Key – 6", to enter Auto-Off again.
3.3.10. SCALE CONFIGURATION
ATTENTION: It is NOT recommended to change any
parameters unless you absolutely need to. In case you´re
not sure, please contact the customer service to check if it
is necessary to modify these parameters.
• Press twice „Key – 12", twice to enter the Password
mode. The Scale displays„P0000". Input the Scale
Configuration password (P0258). To do so, press „Key
– 2" or „Key – 4" and then press „Key – 7", to modify
the digital. Press „Key – 3" or „Key – 4" and „Key – 8"
move the digital.
• Press „Key – 6", to confirm input and enter the Scale
Configuration.
• Scale displays 'SCALE"
• Press „Key – 6", to enter the Auto-Zero range setting.
AUTO-ZERO-RANGE
The scale displays the Auto-Zero range, e.g. „AE 20"
indicating 20% F.S. Upon boot-up, the scale automatically
zeroes.
• Press „Key – 2 or „Key – 4" and „Key – 7", to change
the Auto-Zero range.
• Press „Key – 12", to exit and save. Press „Key – 1" or
„Key – 11", to exit without saving.
• Press „Key – 6", to enter the manual-Zero range
setting.
MANUAL ZERO RANGE
The scale displays the Manual-Zero range, e.g. „nE 4"
indicating 4% F.S. Zero is only allowed when the weight is
within the Manual-Zero range.
• Press "Key – 2 or „Key – 4" and „Key – 7", to change
the Manual-Zero range.
• Press „Key – 12", to exit and save. Press „Key – 1" or
„Key – 11", to exit without saving.
• Press „Key – 6", to enter the Zero-Tracking range
setting.
ZERO TRACKING RANGE
The scale displays the Zero-Tracking range, e.g. „Et 0.5"
indicating 0.5e. Zero- Tracking range, which can be set
to: 0(disabled), 0.5e, 1.0e, 1.5e, 2.0e, 2.5e, 3.0e, 4.0e,
5.0e. Enabling the Zero-Tracking will enhance the scale
temperature and drift the performance!!
• Press "Key – 2 or „Key – 4" and „Key – 7", to change
the Zero-Tracking range.
• Press „Key – 12, to exit and save. Press „Key – 1" or
„Key – 11", to exit without saving.
• Press „Key – 6", to enter the Gravity setting.
GRAVITY
The scale displays the Gravity, e.g. „G9.794" indicating g is
g = 9,794.
