6�2� Hook Inspection
On the volt trac™ hoist, the suspension hook is fixed
and perpendicular to the hoist's motor axis. Only
the load hook has ball bearings and can swivel. The
suspension and load hooks should be inspected
regularly for wear. Damaged safety latches must be
replaced immediately. The hooks should be frequently
checked.

The opening dimensions (A-size) of the hooks are
shown on Figure 23.
6�3� Table of inspections and lubrication
checks
The checks mentioned in the following table are
additional to the periodic inspections required by
National / provincial / Federal or local norms or
regulations. This table is given for information only,
for hoists operating under normal conditions and
duty factors. Inspections should be performed more
frequently if the equipment is used for heavy or severe
service, or is constantly operated at or near maximum
rated load.

6�4� Friction clutch adjustment
Any adjustment of the friction clutch must be performed
by a competent person. The friction clutch is a safety
device and it has been design to protect the machine
against overload.
The Factory setting is between 110% min to 160% max
of the W.L.L.. According to EN regulation.
The User of the hoist or hoist with trolley is not allow to
use the machine to lift a load over the W.L.L.
Lifting more than the W.L.L is strictly forbidden
The user of the hoist or hoist with trolley must respect
the W.L.L. written on the side plate.
The friction clutch adjustment should be done by a
service center registered by TRACTEL
The friction clutch can only be adjusted with a special
tool.
