5.
Introduce Z washers on Y bolts.
6.
Correctly introduce split pins on the Y bolts The
GB
end of the pin must be opened to lock the Y bolts.
34 Chain bag or chain bucket mounting
procedure
Assemble the chain bag with the hoist using the three
screws. See Figure 26.
4 Electrical connection
41 Caution
411 Preliminary checks
First check that the power cable which will be
connected to the hoist is not live. Current legislation
requires that an isolating switch is always fitted. It is
essential, before any electrical connections of the
hoist, to check that the main electrical installation is
designed and protected in accordance with current
safety regulations. It is necessary to check that the
hoist is not located in an explosive environment. The
anchoring procedure shall be conformed to section 3
Please check if hoist voltage selection is according to
the power supply voltage network
To avoid possible malfunction always check that the
power supply agrees with that of the hoist and the type
of maximum current and voltage.
The power supply to the hoist shall comply with the
requirements of the National/Federal/local electrical
norms.
Electrical connections must be performed by a qualified
electrician and comply with the National Electrical code
or any relevant regulations.
Working in or around electrical equipment presents the
danger of electrical shock. Disconnect power according
to norms or safety procedures before removing cover
or servicing this equipment.
Failure to properly ground the hoist or provide a proper
power supply presents the danger of electric shock or
fire. The electrical equipment must be permanently
connected to the earth and equipped with over current
protection of at least 20A.
If the earth is not correctly connected or the over
current is not min 20A the hoist could be damaged and
must be inspected and repaired.

WARNING
412 Electrical connection (see diagram page 9
to 12)
Electrical connection must be performed by a
competent electrician
Always check that the power supply network agrees
with that of the device and the type of current 5% mini-
maxi variation from nominal voltage.
The power supply must be provided via a flexible cable
of a suitable size. In case of a hoist supplied with an
electric drive trolley, the device must be connected
to the electrical panel located on the trolley (refer to
electrical diagram and Fig. 12).
413 Connecting procedure for volt trac™
1.
Connect the power supply to the ECH according
to electrical schematic fig.24.
2.
Read carefully the section «final check before use».
414 Connecting procedure for volt trac™ with
electric drive trolley
1.
Remove the protective cover located on the trolley
ref. 4 picture 10.
2.
Connect pendant control box to the pendant
control box socket on the trolley electrical box
3.
The smaller plug must be connected under the
hoist
4.
the big plug coming from the hoist should be
connected to the large socket on the electric
control box on the side of the electric trolley.
5.
Insert the power supply cable through the cable
gland and tighten the cable gland
6.
Connect the earth wire and the three phase wires
to the terminal head. See Figure 12.
7.
replace the protective cover on the electric drive
trolley box
8.
Read carefully the section «final check before
use»
WARNING
If the hoist is not working maybe the phase order is not
right. Please inverted 2 phases at the terminal block
(See Fig. 11 / 12).
WARNING
The beam should be fitted with rail stops to prevent the
trolley from falling off the beam.
WARNING
An excessively worn beam flange may fail. Inspect
flange regularly for wear and replace if worn.
