Specialist or trained people : these are persons who
have theoretical knowledge and who have been
trained in handling and lifting maintenance activities.
Such persons must have excellent knowledge of the
regulations governing lifting and special manoeuvres
and must ensure the safety of the equipment in
operation.
Before any electrical connection of the equipment
check that the main electrical installation is designed

Do not operate the hoist when it is restricted from
forming a straight line from hook to hook (or lug to
hook) in the direction of loading.
Do not use the load chain as a sling.
Do not apply the load to the tip of the hook or to the

Never operate a hoist unless load slings or any other
approved attachments are properly sized and seated
in the hook saddle.
Do not apply load unless load chain is properly seated
in the chain wheel(s) or sprocket(s).
Do not operate beyond the limits of the load chain
travel.
Do not allow the load chain or hook to be touched by
a live welding electrode or be used as an electrical or
welding ground.
Do not use the hoist for lifting loads that are not freely
suspended or loads that are guided.
