Safety precautions
s Do not drop the docking station or
allow it to suffer extreme shocks. This
may cause damage, or fire or electric
shock.
s Do not touch the connector or insert
the metal wires or similar object into
any of the plugs. This may cause fire, or
electric shock.
f CAUTION
s Unplug the AC adapter or power cord
from the docking station and AC outlet
when not using for extended periods of
time. If this precaution is not followed
and the docking station is damaged
then fire may occur.
AC adapter
f DANGER
s Be sure to use the AC adapter with the
proper voltage (AC 100 - 240 V).
Using it with other voltage levels may cause fire,
explosion, overheating, electric shock or injury.
s For your safety, be sure to unplug the
AC adapter from the outlet before
performing maintenance or cleaning.
Also, never plug in or disconnect the power plug
with a wet hand. This may cause electric shock
or injury.
f WARNING
s Do not attempt to disassemble, repair
or modify the AC adapter in any way.
This may cause electric shock or other injury.
s Do not use the AC adapter in the
vicinity of flammable gas (including
gasoline, benzine and lacquer thinner).
This may cause explosion, fire, or burns.
s Do not short circuit the = and - at the
plug end.
This may cause fire, burns or electric shock.
s If internal material is exposed due to
dropping or damage:
1 Never touch exposed internal material. Doing
so could cause electric shock, burns or other
injury.
2 Immediately disconnect the power supply
plug from the power outlet, and;
3 Call your dealer or local Olympus
representative for servicing. Continued use
may result in fire or burns.
s If the AC adapter is submerged in
water or, if water, metal or combustible
foreign matter gets inside:
1 Disconnect the power plug from the outlet.
2 Call your dealer or local Olympus
representative for servicing. Continued use
may result in fire or electric shock.
s If you notice abnormal sound, heat,
burning odor or smoke from the AC
adapter during use:
1 Remove the battery immediately, taking care
not to injure yourself.
2 Call your dealer or local Olympus
representative for servicing. Continued use
may result in fire or burns.
