Rotary switch for the thermostat
The refrigerator and the freezer compartment are
automatically kept at a constant temperature by a
thermostat. The temperature is controlled with a
rotary switch. When the switch is turned to the right
end position /position MAX/, then the
temperatures are relatively low; when the switch is
turned to the left end position /position MIN/, the
temperatures are relatively high. The other
positions between these two correspond to
intermediate cooling levels. Position "0" means that
the thermostat is switched off along with the
cooling.
For short-term storage of foodstuffs in the
freezer compartment, set the switch to
between the minimum and a middle
position. For long-term storage, set the
switch to the middle position.
Note that the temperature inside the refrigerator
compartment depends on many factors: e.g. the
position of the thermostat, the ambient
