Coverage
Malfunctions and defects due to the following are not covered by this warranty:
Abnormal environmental conditions:
•
•
Various damages caused by shocks or falls during handling after being released from the factory.
•
Placing the unit in a location subject to freezing or bad weather (humid aggressive or badly ventilated
environments).
•
Using water with hardness criteria such as those defined by the DTU Plumbing 60-1 addendum 4 hot
water (chloride, sulphates, calcium levels, resistivity and total alkalimetry).
•
Water with a Th <15 °f.
•
Water pressure greater than 5 bar (0.5 MPa).
•
Power supply with high over-voltage (system, lightning ...).
•
Damages resulting from undetectable problems due to the choice of location (inaccessible locations)
which could have been avoided by immediate repair of the device.
•
Installation non-compliant with regulations, standards and rules of operation, including:
•
Moved or ineffective safety unit (pressure reducing device, check valve or valve, ..., placed upstream
of the safety unit).
•
Lack of or faulty installation of a new safety unit and non-compliant with the NF D 36-401 standard,
modification of its calibration...
•
Lack of sleeves (cast iron, steel or insulating) on the connecting hot water pipes may cause corrosion.
•
Faulty electrical wiring: non-compliant with NFC 15-100, improper ground connection, insufficient
wiring, connection with flexible wires without metal fittings, non-compliance with wiring diagrams as
instructed by the manufacturer.
•
Powering on the unit without prior filling (dry heating).
•
Positioning the device non-compliant with the instructions in the manual.
•
External corrosion due to improper water tightness of the pipes.
•
Installation of a sanitary loop.
•
Defective maintenance:
•
Abnormal scale buildup in heating elements or safety unit.
•
No maintenance of the safety unit resulting in overpressure.
•
Modification of original equipment without instructions from the manufacturer or using spare parts not
referenced by the manufacturer.
•
Non-compliance with the magnesium anode maintenance conditions.
A unit deemed responsible for damage must stay in place and remain available to experts, the
claimant must inform his insurer.
