WATER CONNECTION
A safety unit protected against freezing must be installed (or any
other pressure relief device) at the water heater inlet, it has to be
new, with the dimensions of 3/4" (20/27), pressure of 7 bar - 0.7
MPa and should meet applicable local standards.
A pressure reducing valve (not supplied) is required if the water
supply pressure exceeds 5 bar - 0.5 MPa - which will be placed on
the main supply line.
Connect the safety device to a drain pipe, which shall not be
enclosed, located in a frost-free environment, continuously sloping
downwards for drainage of the water resulting from thermic
expansion when heating or if flushing the water heater.
No device (shut-off valve, pressure reducing valve, hoses ...) should
be placed between the safety unit and the cold water inlet of the
water heater.
Do not directly connect the hot water fitting to copper pipes. It must
be equipped with a dielectric fitting (provided with the device).
In case of corrosion of the threads of the hot water fitting and this
protection was not installed, our warranty will not apply.
The operating pressure of the heat exchanger circuit shall not
exceed 3 bar - 0.3 MPa, and its temperature shall not exceed
100°C.
All new pipes must be cleaned before their connection to the device
to allow proper circulation of fluid in the tank.
