3.3.4 Automatic control of heating and cooling
(when external passive cooling is installed)
Automatic cooling control is only executed in heating instal-
lations without a heating water buffer cylinder.
The control activates the heat pump for heating or cooling
depending on the outside temperature. For heating, the cur-
rent outside temperature is monitored, while for cooling it
is the 24-hour average that is relevant.
The conditions described below also apply.
Heating:
If the outside temperature is below the presettable switch-
off threshold (max limit outs.temp.), the heating mode is
enabled.
The last mode was Heating
Outside temperature < Max limit outs.temp.
The last mode was Cooling
Outside temperature < Max limit outs.temp.
for six consecutive hours
Outside temperature < Max limit
outs.temp. for six consecutive hours
24h average of outside temperature

Stand-by:
The heat pump remains in stand-by if the conditions for
heating or cooling are not fulfilled, or during the transition
times from heating to cooling or vice versa.
Cooling:
If the current outside temperature is greater than the pre-
set max limit outs.temp. and the average outside tempera-
ture is greater than the preset cooling start limit, the heat
pump switches over to cooling mode.
