Starting up the VarioGard system

After start-up the connected transmitters must be calibrated.
During start-up, the VarioGard transmitter connected to the system
bus has to be calibrated with the target gas.
Connect the system to the power supply.
Display on central unit:
The yellow LED flashes.
The system should be kept live until commissioning by Dräger Service.
The following settings and/or tests should be carried out to start the
installation:
Switch to menu operation and enter the password.
Set the language.
Set the clock.
Register all the slaves.
Test relays.
The factory default settings can only be changed by Dräger Service.
Have Dräger Service perform the commissioning.

This function is used to register all slaves with the central unit and give
them an address (necessary for starting up or upgrading the system).
The registration procedure can be repeated as often as desired and is
also required when permanently removing slaves from the system.
In measurement mode:
Dräger VarioGard
No transmitter !
Dräger VarioGard

Re-register all the slaves

Press the
key.
Enter password (for configuration).
Press the
key to change over to
menu mode. Display:
Using the keys
or
, select the
menu item » REGISTER SLAVE «.
Use the key
» y « (yes) to register
slaves with the central unit.
Press the
key. Display:
The central unit is now waiting for
registration of the individual slaves.
Press the
key (1) on the
transmitter for the different
slaves.
For the relay module and
converter module: follow the
installation instructions.
