SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS FOR MOUNTING
HOW TO ASSEMBLE THE SEAT IN THE BICYCLE
1. Lift the security ring (G2) and simultaneously unscrew the hand knob (G1).
Open the jaw (G3) to an aperture wider than the luggage carrier.
2. Place the seat on the luggage carrier and then fasten the hand knob (G1) so
that the seat jaws (G3) remains slightly attached to the luggage carrier, while you
check the proper position of the gravity center.
3. The child seat has a centre of gravity (F) (inscribed on the child seat) that must
be positioned in front of the rear wheel axle. If it is positioned behind the axle,
the distance must not exceed 10 cm. If the centre of gravity is more than this
distance from the axle, adjust the seat to the correct position. Special care must
also be taken when positioning the child seat to ensure that the cyclist does
not touch the child seat with his feet when cycling. Make sure that the carrier
mounting system (G) is firmly attached to the carrier before proceeding. This step
is extremely important for child and cyclist safety. Check the safety of the fasteners
regularly. Note: In Germany, according to the German Traffic Law StVZO, bicycle
seats may only be fixed so that 2/3 of the seat depth or the Gravity Centre of the
seat is located between the front and rear axle of the bicycle.
4. Now that you´ve correctly placed the seat according to center of gravity
(F), fasten properly the hand knob (G1) so that the seat is securely attached to
the luggage carrier, and it can´t be moved. As soon as the hand knob is well
tightened, make sure the security lever is properly held as shown in the picture.
We suggest shaking the seat to make sure it´s properly and securely
5. Pass the safety belt (C) around the bicycle frame. Adjust it as shown in the
picture, under tension. Make sure that remain loosen belt is not in contact with
the wheel, so pass it through the safety belt retainer (C1). This step is extremely
important for the child's safety.
HOW TO SAFELY PLACE AND SECURE
THE CHILD ON THE SEAT
6. To safely place the child on the seat you must place the bicycle on flat and
solid ground for maximum bicycle stability. Even if your bicycle offers robust quick
stands, you must always hold the bicycle, while placing/ removing the child. You
must carry your child in your lap and safely place him on the seat. It´s forbidden
for the child to climb alone on the bicycle or using the footrests to reach the seat.
7. To place the child in the seat, first fully extend the retention system harness (B),
sliding all the strap adjusters (B2, B3) - this makes it easier to put the child in the
seat. Then, open the safety buckle (B1) by pressing the safety buckle button. Seat
the child, place the shoulder and waist straps and then close the safety buckle,
adjust the belt length using the strap adjusters, so that your child is securely
restrained. Before starting the journey, always check that the child is secured and
that the belt is snug but not so tight that it hurts the child.
8. According to the child growth, current height, and weight, you can adjust the
height of the retention system harness (B) on all the strap adjusters (B2, B3), by
pulling up or down the str aps until reaching the desired size. You can also adjust
the height of the retention system harness (B) by choosing between the available
holes for retention system adjustment (B4). To adjust it, remove the retention
system clip from the current hole and place it on the best hole according to your
child height.
9. To adjust the height of the footrest (D) to fit your child, release the footrest
(D) from the seat (A) by pressing the two fasteners together and lift the footrest
as indicated in the picture (it may be necessary to apply some pressure to the
fasteners). To reattach the footrests, first engage the top pin, and push the footrest
(D) down to lock the clips into the slot's holes.
10. To guarantee your child's safety, adjust the strap (E) of the footrest. Unlock
the strap (E) and adjust it to the child's foot. Lock it again making sure the strap
does not hurt the child.
HOW TO REMOVE THE SEAT
FROM THE BICYCLE
1. Detach the safety-belt (C) to remove the child seat. To remove the seat from the
luggage carrier, lift the security ring (G2) and simultaneously unfasten the hand
knob (G1) to open the jaw (G3) wider than the width of the luggage carrier. Push
the seat up and backwards.
Make sure you have followed and fulfilled all the instructions given.
When done so, the child bicycle seat is ready for use.
