For suction greater than 4 m, for best performance, use a larger diameter tube (1/4 inch larger
in suction is recommended).
5.1 INSTALLATION
a.
Place the pump on a level surface as close as possible to the water source, leaving enough free
space around it for safe operation and maintenance. In any case, leave a free space of at least
100 mm in front of the cooling fan of the surface pumps.
b.
Use pipes of suitable diameter with threaded sleeves, which are connected to the suction and
delivery ports of the electric pump or to the included threaded counter-flanges.
6. ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
•
THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTION MUST BE CARRIED OUT BY A QUALIFIED TECHNI-
CIAN.
•
IT IS ADVISABLE, FOR BOTH THE THREE-PHASE AND SINGLE-PHASE VERSIONS,
TO INSERT A HIGH-SENSITIVITY RESIDUAL CURRENT CIRCUIT BREAKER (0.03 A) IN
THE ELECTRICAL WIRING.
CAUTION!
The power supply of the electric pump, which does not have a socket, must be provi-
ded by a permanent connection to the electrical panel with a switch, fuses and thermal
switch calibrated according to the current absobited by the electric pump.
The network must have an efficient earthing installation, according to the existing
electrical standards in the Country: This is the responsibility of the installer.
If the electric pump is supplied without a power cable, use a cable that complies with
current standards and the necessary cross-section depending on the length, power
and mains voltage.
