4.2 STORAGE
1.
The product should be stored in a covered and dry place, away from heat sources and protected
against dust and vibrations.
2.
Protect the pump against moisture, heat sources and mechanical damage. Avoid direct expo-
sure to sunlight.
3.
Do not rest heavy objects on the ambale.
4.
The product should be stored at an ambient temperature between +5°C and +40°C (41°F and
104°F) with a relative humidity of 60%.
5.
If the machine is to be stored for long periods, it is advisable not to remove it from its packaging.
5. PREPARATION FOR USE
CAUTION!
Installation must be carried out by a qualified technician.
Unpack the pump and lift or wedge it with suitable tools, in compliance with accident
prevention regulations.
Attention must be paid as the lifting hooks of the motor are not suitable for lifting the
electric pump.
a.
Use metal pipes to prevent them from sagging under the vacuum created during suction or
plastic materials with a certain degree of stiffness.
b.
Support and align the pipes so that they do not create stresses on the pump.
c.
If suction and inlet hoses are used, avoid kinking them in order to avoid bottlenecks.
d.
Seal any pipe connections: air leaks in the suction pipe have a negative effect on the function
of the pump.
e.
In the inlet pipe, at the outlet of the electric pump, it is advisable to install a non-return valve and
a register in this order.
f.
Fix the pipes to the tank, or to fixed parts, so that they are not supported by the electric pump.
g.
Avoid using too many bends (goosenecks) and valves in the installation.
h.
In the case of pumps installed on a hinged casing, the suction pipe should have a foot valve and
a filter to prevent the entry of foreign bodies and its end should be submerged to a depth of at
