The pump and suction pipe must be filled with water. As specified, operating the pump without water
will inevitably cause serious damage to some of the pump's internal components.perform the filling
operation with the terminal panel box closed and the power supply disconnected.
7.1 FILLING OF THE PUMP INSTALLED ABOVE THE LIQUID LEVEL
a.
Unscrew the hexagonal plug located on the outer jacket at the height of the upper bracket
(remove the coupling shields where necessary).
b.
With the help of a funnel, fill the suction pipe and the pump body with water up to the overflow.
c.
Screw the hexagon plug back in until it locks.
d.
Dry any water leaks thoroughly.
e.
Refit the coupling guards if they have been removed.
7.2 FILLING OF THE PUMP INSTALLED BELOW THE LIQUID LEVEL
a.
Unscrew the hexagonal plug.
b.
Open the suction section flap until the water overflows.
c.
Screw the plug back in until it locks. Start and operate.
8. USE AND COMMISSIONING
NEVER OPERATE THE ELECTRIC PUMP WITHOUT WATER: LACK OF WATER CAUSES SERIOUS DA-
MAGE TO INTERNAL COMPONENTS.
8.1 IMPLEMENTATION
After completion of the hydraulic connections, electrical connections and filling, check the direction of
rotation before starting the pump.
a.
Start the electric pump with the delivery valve closed.
b.
Check that the rotation is clockwise, looking at the engine from the fan side (also indicated by
the arrow on the upper bracket), through the slots in the engine fan housing, easily observable
at start and stop.
c.
If the rotation is incorrect, interrupt the power supply and reverse the position of the supply
leads from the control panel or at the motor terminal block.
d.
Run the pump two or three times to check the installation conditions.
e.
Operating on the impulse side induces a rapid rise in pressure a couple of times.
f.
Check that noise, vibration, pressure and electrical voltage are maintained at normal levels.
