– Set the sliding switch (17) to the appropriate application
to set the correct air flow and pressure for the spray ma-
terial used.

Dampening Wallpaper
To make it easier to remove old wallpaper, you can spray
warm water on the wallpaper (max. 55 °C).
Temperature-dependent overload protection
In normal conditions of use, the power tool cannot be over-
loaded. If the power tool is overloaded or the permitted bat-
tery temperature is exceeded, the electronics of the power
tool will switch off until the temperature returns to within the
optimum operating temperature range.
Work Breaks (see figure F)
The fine-spray system can be put down on a flat work surface
during breaks. No spray material can leak out.
Always put the fine-spray system upright on a flat sur-
u
face when it is filled with spray material. Spray mater-
ial can leak out from a fine-spray system if it is lying down.
Maintenance and Service
Maintenance and Cleaning
Before carrying out any work on the power tool (e.g.
u
maintenance, tool change etc.), remove the battery
from the power tool. There is risk of injury from uninten-
tionally pressing the on/off switch.
To ensure safe and efficient operation, always keep
u
the power tool and the ventilation slots clean.
Thoroughly clean the individual parts of the fine-spray
u
system immediately after each use, especially all
paint-carrying components. Proper cleaning is a pre-
requisite for faultless and safe operation of the spray gun.
No warranty claims will be accepted if cleaning has not
been done at all or has not been done properly.
– If necessary, grease the sealing ring (7). A small sachet of
grease is included in the scope of delivery.
Spare Container (Accessory) (see figure G)
You can store spray material for other applications in the air-
tight spare container (9) with cover.
Bosch Power Tools
Cleaning After Using Water-Based Paints (see figure I)
Always clean the spray gun and the spray material container
with warm water.
Never clean the nozzle and air holes in the spray gun with
pointed objects.
– Press the release buttons (19) and disconnect the spray
gun (1) from the base unit (15).
– Remove the container (2) from the spray gun (1).
Hold the container (2) underneath the suction tube (8)
and pull the trigger switch (5) on the spray gun so that the
spray material can flow back into the container.
– Empty the container (2).
The spray material can be stored in an airtight, sealed
paint container for other applications. Use the spare
container (9) with cover or the original spray material
container, for example, for this purpose.
– Clean the container (2).
– Remove the suction tube (8) with the container seal (12)
and rinse it thoroughly.
Reattach the suction tube (8) with the container seal (12)
to the spray gun.
– Fill the container (2) with warm water and fit it to the
spray gun (1)again.
– Firmly attach the base unit (15) to the spray gun (1).
The release buttons (19) must audibly engage.
– Spray until only clear water comes out. You may have to
fill the container with warm water again.
– Clean the base unit if necessary with a damp cloth and
then remove the base unit (15) from the immediate
cleaning environment.
– Remove the cap nut (4), the air cap (3), the paint
nozzle (10) and the suction tube (8) with the container
seal (12).
– Clean all paint-carrying parts in a bucket with warm water
using a commercially available washing-up brush. Also
clean the paint channel (14) of the spray gun (1).
– Check that the suction tube (8) and the container
seal (12) are free of spray material and undamaged.
– Clean the ventilation hole (13) using an appropriate
cleaning brush.
– Clean the outside of the container (2) and the spray
gun (1)with a damp cloth.
– Allow all components to dry thoroughly before assem-
bling them.
– Reassemble the fine-spray system in reverse order.
Slide the container seal (12) upwards again into the
groove of the suction tube (8).
Ensure that the container seal is positioned precisely all
around in the suction tube groove in order to seal the
spray gun correctly.
Make sure that you slide the suction tube (8) all the way
back onto the paint channel (14).
