4.1 Connection to power supply
Prior to connecting the mains cable to the mains socket, check the settings of the power supply next to
the main switch! If the displayed voltage does not agree with the local mains current, the grey fuse
socket must be adjusted to the correct voltage according to section 7.1. (Exchanging control unit fuses)
4.2 Foot pedal connection
The TCM 3000 BL is equipped with a foot pedal. The foot pedal cable can be plugged in and out on the
front side of the control unit at the foot pedal connection.
Only the Vario foot pedal (cat. no. 1871tcm) may be connected to the TCM 3000 BL!
4.3 Motor connection
The motor cable can be plugged in and out on the front side of the control unit at the motor cable
connection.
Only the electronic motor 31ESS (Art. no. 2064nou) may be connected to the
TCM 3000 BL.
Sterilize motor! On delivery the motor is not sterile. At the unpacking of a prior
sterilized motor pay attention of an eventually damaged package and check if
sterility is still indicated on the sterile indicator. If there is no sterile indicator in the
package the package must at least be marked with the expiration date of sterility
(see also chapter 6, Cleaning and disinfection).
4.4 Device setup
● The TCM 3000 BL and all required accessories and instruments must be placed on an even,
non-slip surface.
● Do not allow the operating range of the device (including cable and contra angle) to be
compromised by limiting factors.
● The system display must be fully visible at all times.
● The pedal must be placed within stepping distance between the patient and the surgeon.
● It must be explicitly ensured that no objects can fall on the pedal.
● The power plug at the rear of the device must be accessible at all times.
