Check foods to see that they are cooked to the United
States Department of Agriculture's recommended
temperatures.
To test for doneness, insert a meat thermometer in a thick
or dense area away from fat or bone. NEVER leave the
thermometer in the food during cooking, unless it is
approved for microwave oven use.
TEMP FOOD
160 °F ... for fresh pork, ground meat, fish, seafood,
egg dishes and frozen prepared food.
165 °F ... for leftover, ready-t-reheat refrigerated, and
dell and carryout "fresh" food.
180°F ... poultry

for shielding of meat or poultry to prevent overcooking. Arcing

instructions and heating chart. Do not preheat for
more than 6 minutes.

Safe".

Disposable polyester Paperboard Dishes yes Some frozen foods are packaged in these dishes.
Can be purchased in grocery stores.
Fast Food Carton with Metal Handle no Metal handle may cause arcing.
Frozen Dinner Tray no Metal can cause arcing and damage to your oven.

Microwave safe
Glass Jars no Most glass jars are not heat resistant. Do not use
for cooking or reheating.
Heat Resistant Oven yes Ideal for microwave cooking and browning. (See

Metal Bakeware no Not recommended for use in microwave ovens.
Metal can cause arcing and damage to your oven.
Metal Twist-Ties no May cause arcing which could cause a fire in the
