• Relay functions
• In the master:
The relay in the master performs a fault-actuated switchover in the
event of a fault or a power failure of the master pump.
• In the slave:
The time relay triggers the pump kick in main/standby mode. Every
24 hours at 12 noon Central European Time (CET), the slave pump
starts for a few seconds (factory setting).
• Relay setting
If required, the relay in the slave can be adjusted to the local condi-
tions (see Section 8.3 "Setting the time relay" on page 46).
The following can be set:
• Time of day
• Summer/winter time
• Time of the pump kick.
NOTE
It is not possible to reset the values to the factory settings!
Installation and electrical connection must be carried out in accord-
ance with local regulations and only by qualified personnel!

Incorrect installation and improper electrical connections can be
life-threatening.
• Electrical connections should only be established by qualified elec-
tricians and in compliance with the applicable regulations.
• Observe the regulations for accident prevention.
CAUTION! Risk of damage!
Risk of damage due to inappropriate handling.
• Have the pump installed by qualified personnel only.
• The pump should only be installed after completion of all welding and
soldering work and, if necessary, flushing of the pipe system. Dirt can
cause the pump to fail.
• The pumps must be protected from the weather and installed in a
frost/dust-free, well-ventilated environment which is not potentially
explosive.
• Install the pump in a place that is easy to access so that subsequent
inspections, maintenance (e.g. mechanical seal) or replacement is
easily possible. The air access to the dissipator of the electronic mod-
ule must not be restricted.
• A hook or a lug with sufficient load-bearing capacity is to be installed
vertically over the pump (total weight of the pump: see catalogue/
data sheet). This is to allow hoisting gear or similar aids to be attached
to the pump during maintenance or repair work.
