10.9 CLEANING OF THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER

Before proceeding with the cleaning operations, any

unburned pellets left in the brazier must be removed.
To dispose of any ash, consult the paragraph

TOOLS TO BE USED; brush with soft bristles (NOT

supplied).

The unburned pellets must NOT be poured into the
tank.

Do not use abrasive sponges or wet cloths and do
not place the refractory bricks in direct contact with
the ash suction machine's tube.
Do not use water to clean the inside of the combus-
■
tion chamber.
To clean the combustion chamber, proceed as follows:
- open the door of the appliance, consult the paragraph
door"
- remove the flame separator
- clean the brazier –, consult the paragraph
- dust the surface of the refractory bricks gently using a brush.

10.10 CLEANING OF THE PELLET TANK

We suggest completely emptying the pellet tank at
the end of every season.
TOOLS TO BE USED; ash suction machine.

To completely empty and clean the pellet tank, proceed as follows:
- with the fire extinguished and the appliance completely cold, open
the door and remove all the pellets inside the tank
- switch the appliance on and leave it running until all the pellets have
finished and the appliance switches off
- wait for the appliance to cool down
- use an ash suction machine to suck up any remaining sawdust or
pellet residues on the bottom of the tank
- close the door.
10.11 CLEANING OF THE LOWER FLUE GAS
PASSAGE

TOOLS TO BE USED; ash vacuum device equipped
■
with a fine-mesh filter in order to prevent part of the
ash from being blown into the room.
To clean the lower fume passage, proceed as follows:
- open the front inspection panel
- remove the lower fume passage inspection nozzles
- use a suitable ash suction machine to suck up the residues inside
the fume passage.
