6.3.1 Connecting and adjusting the shielding gas volume
NOTICE
• The type and volume of the shielding gas to be used depends on the welding task and the
gas nozzle geometry.
• Establish all shielding gas connections so that they are gas-tight.
• To prevent blockages caused by contamination in the shielding gas supply, you must
quickly open the cylinder valve before connecting the supply. Doing so blows out any
contamination.
1 Connect the shielding gas cylinder to the wire feeder system.
2 Set the gas volume on the shielding gas cylinder's pressure reducer.
3 Attach the shielding gas connector as appropriate for the relevant version (Euro CC,
Panasonic

Connecting the control lead
The control lead on the machine is open. The customer must connect a suitable plug. If all data
is provided, the system will be supplied ready for connection. Otherwise, choose a plug that is
compatible with your power source and connect it to the corresponding leads according to the
terminal diagram.
