Relay mode connections
The following table provides a function summary of each terminal if the detector
is ordered in relay mode.

EOL resistor
If the detector is connected in the above manner and if a fire alarm is signalled,
with the alarm resistor connected between terminals 12 and 13, then the alarm
EOL resistor
resistor will appear across terminals 3 and 4. The EOL resistor connected
between terminals 10 and 11 normally appears across terminals 3 and 4 and in
Alarm resistor
the event of a fault the resistor appears open circuit. If terminals 3 and 4 are

disconnected from the control system and polarity across power supply
terminals 1 and 2 is reversed, these wires then provide a RS485 connection to
RS485 termination -Ve
the detector. This connection may then be used to upload or download
information to the detector.
