STEERING
Follow the steering manufacturer's recommendations (installation, use and maintenance).
To get the best out of your boat, please consult your dealer.
Should the hydraulic steering fail, inspect your circuit to ensure that there is no leakage from
the circuit. If a leak from a connection is observed, attempt to repair it with a screw driver or
a wrench (depending on the type of clamp used).
ZNAUTIC strongly encourages you to include a pair of telescopic paddles in the equipment
kept on board your boat. These paddles will let you steer your boat at reduced speed should
the steering fail.
ZNAUTIC offers telescopic paddles that are perfectly suitable in its catalogue of accessories.
Contact your dealer or ZODIAC for any additional information.
If you do not have paddles:
1. Inform any other boats nearby of your situation by waving both arms upwards then
downwards. Contact the emergency services by VHF or telephone if there is any danger.
2. Steer your boat at reduced speed by moving your outboard motor and watch the
surroundings to avoid coming into collision with bathers, divers, rocks or any other
obstacle. Safety first!
