6.4 TEMPERATURE SENSOR
From the main screen (Fig. 54), press the
button.
The temperature measuring sensor is an electronic
device to read the tyre temperature. Correct use
allows the operator to check and display the tyre
bead and sidewall temperature, for mounting/
demounting as indicated by WDK regulations for
RUN FLAT and UHP tyres.
Intended operating conditions
The temperature sensor is intended solely for
measuring tyre temperature, as described in this
manual. Any other use is inappropriate.

Operation
Press the
button to activate the tempera-
ture sensor.
- Move the sensor to bring it into contact with the
tread (Fig, 54a, if tyre is demounted) or with the
sidewall (Fig. 54b, if tyre is mounted on wheel).
To ensure an accurate reading, place the end of the sensor against the tyre, with no other
object or material in between.
- The temperature reading is shown immediately
on the display in °C and °F (see Fig. 54c).
- The background changes colour to immediately
indicate the status of conformity to the WDK
procedure in relation to the temperature value
measured:
Green tyre temperature correct. WDK procedu-
re operations may be performed. Temperature
between 20 and 25 °C.
