when the light is ON this indicates that the voice activation
mode is enabled; when it switches OFF this indicates there is con-

operating mode remains enabled when the unit is switched off
and on.
• Correct wireless radio connection with the child unit (with im-
age and sound transmitter function) :
if the parent unit (with image and sound receiver function) is cor-

sound transmission function), the backlit LCD screen (10) will
display the image of the child in real time and
the icon
illustrated in paragraph 2.2.4 "Backlit LCD Display"
in this manual will appear.
If the parent unit (with image and sound receiver function) is un-
able to establish a connection with the child unit (with image and
sound transmission function), or the connection is lost, the back-
lit LCD screen (10) will display a blinking icon
paragraph 2.2.4 "Backlit LCD Display" in this manual will appear.
After about 2 seconds the image will disappear and the screen
will go black; if, after 15 seconds, the connection has not been re-

as the connection is re-established, the alarm will switch off and
the backlit LCD screen (10) will display the image of the child
in real time again and the icon
"Backlit LCD Display" in this manual will appear.
Warning!
When the parent unit (with image and sound receiver function) is
switched on, always check the operating status of the child unit
(with image and sound transmitter function)! After switching
on the units, always check that the signal transmitted is actu-
ally received at the distance and/or in the area the parent unit
is placed.
It is recommended to ask someone to help you test the units;
ask them to transmit from the child unit (with image and sound
transmitter function) whilst you move around the reception area
with the parent unit (with image and sound receiver function) to
check that the signal is strong enough.

The backlit LCD display (10) allows users to view the following
icons arranged in a row in the white area:

sound receiver function) is correctly connected via wireless to the
child unit (with image and sound transmission function), the

3. Replacing the batteries on the child unit (with image and
sound transmitter function) and rechargeable battery pack
on the parent unit (with image and sound receiver func-
tion);
Warning: These operations must only be carried out by
an adult.
• Only use alkaline batteries [child unit (with image and sound
transmitter function)] and rechargeable battery packs [par-
ent unit (with image and sound receiver function)] equal or
equivalent (with the same electrical characteristics) to those
indicated in this manual.
• Always remove dead batteries and/or the rechargeable battery
pack when you don't intend to use the child unit and parent
unit for a certain length of time. This will prevent the batter-
ies from leaking liquid which will damage the devices and/or
anything in the vicinity.
• Do not short-circuit the battery poles.
• Never use rechargeable batteries on the child unit (with image
and sound transmitter function)
Note:
• After a period of constant use, all rechargeable batteries slowly
decrease their operating capacity until they run out altogether
and will need replacing.
If the rechargeable battery pack life starts to decrease signifi -
cantly, it will be necessary to replace it (this is normal as all re-
chargeable batteries run out over time)
• The rechargeable battery pack supplied must be recharged by
inserting the mains adaptor plug (1) supplied with this product
into the power socket (13) (9V
unit (with image and sound receiver function)
• Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries as they
might explode.
• This product is not designed for use with lithium batteries.
WARNING: Improper use could be hazardous
• Never leave dead batteries in the child unit (with image and
sound transmitter function), always replace them immediately
or they may leak corrosive and/or hazardous liquids.
• Never leave a low rechargeable battery pack in the parent unit
(with image and sound receiver function), always recharge it
immediately (or replace if dead) as it may leak corrosive and/
or hazardous liquids.
• If the batteries happen to leak liquid, protect your hands and
replace the batteries immediately, making sure you clean the
compartment and any other areas affected by the liquid be-
forehand. Wash your hands thoroughly when you have fi nished.
Dispose of all dead batteries according to the differentiated
waste collection regulations in your area. Never burn them or
disperse them in the environment.
• Never mix new and old or different types of batteries on the
child unit (with image and sound transmitter function).
• When inserting the alkaline batteries in the child unit (with
image and sound transmitter function), always check that the
poles are inserted as indicated on the battery compartment
• When connecting the rechargeable battery pack on the parent
unit (with image and sound receiver function), always check
that the pole is inserted in the right direction.
