In order to avoid damage to the centrifugal arm, casting may only take place when the
casting ring is in place and the counterweight is properly adjusted. Make sure that there are
no foreign objects in the casting space.
Lay the preheated ring on its support. Lift the adjustment lever oft the crucible slide with the mold
tongs and push the casting crucible all the way to the mold. Be sure that the casting crucible lines
up exactly with the casting trough of the ring. Possible differences in height between the casting
crucible and the ring can be corrected by turning the height adjustment on the centrifugal arm.
Before the release of the casting process, shove the casting crucible against the mold.
Otherwise both the casting crucible and the mold can be damaged when the casting
process begins.
The control sequence for the initiation of the casting process can be changed, i.e. by first closing
the housing and then starting the process by pushing the "CAST" button. In this case, casting
begins immediately after the CAST button is pushed.
Conclude the casting process by pushing the CAST button again. The yellow control light will be
extinguished and the centrifugal arm will stop. The housing safety lock will be released immediately
after the arm comes to rest.
Altering position of control board
With the auxiliary "control conversion set", the control board can be moved from its position at the
rear pedestal to the left side of the unit.
This change enables you to have the installation of the Motorcast compact under a low shelf,
extending outward.
Such changes should only be made by DeguDent service personnel.
Installation of the Automatic Gas-saving MC
The new Automatic Gas-saving MC is designed
especially for use with the Motorcast compact.
It is outstanding because it has a high degree of
operating safety, is always ignition-ready, and can be
adjusted for a predetermined flame characteristic. In
addition, it has the advantages of easy manipulation
and economy in gas use. It is available as a separate
option and can be placed on the Motorcast compact
with very few attachments.
