Electric injector test
In order for an injector to be mechanically tested, ie to test flow, it is necessary to
know if the injector can be electrically actuated.
In the case of piezoelectric injectors, the resistance is not shown due to their
electrical characteristic.
The available conditions for injectors are:
• OK, when the injector is able to perform the electrical test. In this case, if the
injector is Inductive type, resistance will be shown;
• OPEN, indicating the open state or no injector connected to the system;
• SHRT, indicating short circuit condition on injector or connection/cable;
• ERRO, indicating an injector with resistance outside the known range.
After the electrical test, if the test condition is OK, the tightness test will be
performed to check if the injector has nozzle leakage or return.
This test is performed at 1300 bar pressure.
