X. Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Information
Medical electrical equipment needs special precautions regarding EMC and needs to be installed and put
into service according to the EMC information provided in this section.
Portable and mobile RF communications equipment can affect medical electrical equipment. Do not expose
the device to sources of electromagnetic interference such as CT equipment, diathermy equipment cellular
phones, RFID tags and metal detectors.
The use of accessories, transducers and/or cables other than those specified, with the exception of those
sold by the manufacturer as replacement parts for internal components, may result in increased emissions
or decreased immunity of the equipment or system.
The equipment or system should not be used adjacent to or stacked with other equipment. If adjacent or
stacked use is neccessary, the equipment or system should be observed to verify normal operation in the
configuration in which it will be used.

Electromagnetic Environment-Guidance
The EGA-500/EGA-500E uses RF energy only for its
internal function. Therefore, its RF emissions are very
low and are not likely to cause any interference in
nearby electronic equipment.
The EGA-500/EGA-500E is suitable for use in all estab-
lishments, other than domestic, and those directly
connected to the public low-voltage power supply
network that supplies buildings used for domestic
purposes.
