RegulaR caRe Of the WateR PuRifieR

Listed below are things you need to remember in the regular care of your water purifier. The points are listed according to how
often they need to be performed:
Every day, check that the indicator lights are not indicating
that something has to be attended.
Keep the appliance clean. Externally, the appliance may
only be cleaned with a damp cloth. Do not use a wet cloth
and do not pour water over the appliance. Do not use deter-
gents.
Once a month, check that all the connections are in place
and watertight. Wipe off any condensation that has collected
on the base plate.
Make sure that you always replace filter in time. The life-
time of filter depends e.g. on the feed water.
After replacing a filter, stand the filter so that most of the
water runs out over a few minutes. The filter can be discard-
ed with normal household rubbish, as it does not contain any
environmentally hazardous substances.
Before calling service, use the troubleshooting table «If the wa-
ter purifier is not working» to try to attend to the fault yourself.
If service is called in to solve a problem that is in this list, there
is a risk that you will be responsible for the cost. This is also
true if you have used the appliance for a purpose other than it is
intended for. Note that electrical faults should always be recti-
fied by a certified electrician.
Give the appliance's model designation, product and serial
numbers according to the data plate (fig. 7). The plate is located
behind the filter. (Remove the cover to see the data plate.)

Depending primarily on the hardness of the feed water and
its content of micro-organisms, the water purifier should
be descaled when the flow is reduced and disinfected if the
water smells or tastes bad.
When the capacity of the purifier is reduced even after filter
replacement and descaling, contact your dealer for mem-
brane replacement.
If the feed water has been classed as unfit, the water pro-
duced by the water purifier should be tested once a year by
an approved lab.
If the water purifier is not going to be used in the next
months or is going to be disconnected from water and elec-
tricity, the water purifier should be put into storage.
