5.3 Threading the machine

Before starting the below described operations, power supply must be cut off in order to avoid accidents caused by
sudden machine start-up.

CAUTION
Turn the machine pulley and raise the thread
take-up (1) before threading the upper thread.
This will make threading easier. Guide thread
step by step as it shown on the drawing.
Set the bobbin on to the bobbin winder and wind the thread
onto the bobbin as shown on the figure .
1. Hold the bobbin so that the thread is directed to the left, and
insert it into the bobbin holder.
2. Lead the thread through the gap and pull it in direction C. This
way, the thread will pass under the flat bobbin case spring.
3. Check that the bobbin rotates in the direction of the arrow after it
is pulled.
