Arthrex Shoulder Suspension System AR-1650S
Instructions for Use
Positioning the Tower
Position the Tower so that it is oriented over the patient's operative
arm. The angle of the Tower can be adjusted by releasing the trigger
and rotating it either forward or backward. This should be done by a
circulating nurse or other qualified non sterile personnel.
Adjust the height of the cable as needed. This can be done by pressing
the trigger and moving the pulley carriage to any of the three main
ranges
(Figure
10). Note that the trigger will lock at each of the three
ranges and require activation to move further.

Arm Sleeve Connector
The Arm Sleeve Connector is comprised of three different sections.
The top section in blue can be rotated to loosen or tighten the grip of
the hook at the top
(Figure 11). The
the Arm Sleeve will click into place. The grey bell section can be rotated
in order to lock the black clip section in place to restrict rotation of the
arm. Finally there is a plastic circle divider separating the sterile and
non-sterile fields. The plastic divider can be found in the Arm Sleeve
Disposable package.
The disposable Arm Sleeve Connector should be mounted in the pin
at the center of the traction cable. The hook used to attach the Arm
Sleeve Connector can be loosened (by twisting the blue top section
clockwise) and tightened (by twisting the blue top section counter
clockwise) once mounted to engage the pin.
Loosen the lower section of the Connector (by twisting the grey bell
section clockwise) in order to allow for the patients arm to freely rotate
during initial setup. Note the location of the plastic separating the
sterile field.
