• Lastly, connect connection Item No 1189, tightening the electrical connector to output CN04 (see fig.3.8).
Ensure the air (AIR) is permanently connected, at an appropriate pressure, to the automatic gas console, because it
is used as a "service" gas.

Note on gas connection

Carefully read the sections "Explosions", "Hazardous gases and vapours" and "Gas cylinders" in General Warnings
code 3301151.
DANGER
All cylinders and pressure regulators used in cutting operations should be handled with care.
If the gas cylinder is not connected, leave the valve protection in place.
Always use gas cylinders suited to various types of application as well as appropriate accessories (pressure/flow
regulators, pipes, fittings, etc.). Only use gas cylinders and accessories in good condition.
If a gas cylinder valve is open, move your face away from the point where the gas emerges.
When you have finished welding or cutting, close the valve of the gas cylinder used.
Make sure no inert gas is leaking from the cylinders. Inert gas is colourless and odourless. An environment saturated
with inert gas is devoid of oxygen, which causes asphyxiation of people in the environment.
The gas inlet threads (GAS INLET) are 1/4G for air, Ar, N2, O2 and auxiliary gases and 1/8G
for H35 and F5 gases.
The customer is responsible for supplying the gas and scheduled/preventive maintenance of the gas distribution
system
Remember that failure to maintain the system can cause serious accidents.
Read the safety sheet for each gas used carefully in order not to underestimate hazards arising out of improper use.
NOTE: Choose the type of pipe based on the gas used (see standard ISO 3821).
NOTE: using gas of lower purity may lead to a reduction in cutting speed, quality and maximum thickness for every
given material. The durability of consumables is also not guaranteed.
CAUTION: when oxygen gas is used, everything that comes into contact with it must be free of oil and
grease.
• when the MS - O2/O2 cutting program is selected (cutting soft steel with oxygen/oxygen gas), ensure that the air
(AIR) is connected to the console gas inlet, because this is used as a preflow gas.
• when a cutting current higher than 50A is selected, ensure that air (AIR) or nitrogen (N2) are connected
to the gas console inlet (manual or automatic), including in the AUXILIARY channel.
