Marking preparation and execution (MARK)

Plasma marking is a sheet metal engraving process involving the production of lines, designs or alphanumeric cha-
racters.
It is carried out using argon gas and using the consumables and pressures shown in the corresponding cutting chart.
Marking can be activated or deactivated in two ways:

directly by the CNC/Robot, by setting Enabled in the screen shown in Fig. 4.4. In this way, the Cut/Mark signal
(see Fig. 3.5) switches between cutting mode (CUT) to marking mode (MARK) and vice versa

manually from the gas console display, by setting Disabled in the screen shown in Fig. 4.4. In this way, press
the MARK button in Fig. 4.2 to enter marking mode (MARK)
4.3

Description of the automatic gas console panel and its use

Multifunction led A on the front panel of the automatic gas console defines console status.
In particular:
Remote panel Item No 460.01 must be connected for management of the automatic gas console (configuration of
the cutting parameters and setting of RUN status). Refer to the instruction manual for this item for a description of its
operation.
When a power source is equipped with a digital interface (CANopen, PROFIBUS, DeviceNet and EtherCAT are available)
it is possible not to use Item No 460.01 if a specific application for managing the cutting process is implemented in
the CNC/Robot controller.
