ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD

ELECTRIC SHOCK can kill. Only a
qualified electrician should connect
input power. DO NOT touch electrically "live" or "hot" parts
or electrode with skin or wet clothing.
Do not touch live electrical components.
Insulate yourself from work and floor or ground with dry
insulating mats.
Do not touch torch parts if in contact with the workpiece or
ground.
Unplug the power cord before servicing this equipment.
Only connect this equipment to an electrical outlet according
to this Instruction Manual and national, state, and local

Keep cords dry, free of oil and grease, and protected from hot
metal and sparks.
Turn off this equipment when not in use.
Inspect and replace any worn or damaged torch cable leads.
Keep away from torch tip and pilot arc when the trigger is
pressed.
Clamp work cable with good metal-to-metal contact to
workpiece as close as possible to the cutting zone.
SPARKS HAZARD
FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD.
Cutting sparks can cause fire or
explosion. NEVER cut on containers or pipes that contain,
or may have contained, flammable or combustible
materials or potentially toxic coatings or solvents. Check
and be sure the work area is safe before doing any cutting.
Remove all flammable materials within 33 feet (10m) of the
cutting arc.
Wear an ANSI (American National Standards
Institute) compliant helmet or shield to protect
your face and eyes sparks when cutting.
Wear ANSI compliant safety glasses with side
shields under your helmet or shield.
Wear oil-free protective garments such as welding gloves,
heavy shirt, cuffless trousers, high top shoes, and a welding
cap. Wear flame retardant ear plugs to keep sparks from
entering ears.
Keep a fully charged fire extinguisher nearby.
Check and be sure there are no flammable materials near the
hidden side of the workpiece.
Connect work clamp to the workpiece as close to the cutting
zone as possible; this will keep the electrical current from
traveling long distances and unknown paths.
Do not cut on closed containers such as tanks or drums.
Never cut containers with unknown or potentially flammable
materials inside. Do not cut containers that have held
combustibles.
Do not cut where the atmosphere may contain flammable
dust, gas, or liquid vapors (such as gasoline).
Do not cut pressurized cylinders, pipes, or vessels.
Do not position unit on, near, or over combustible surfaces.
