CUTTING ANGLE ADJUSTMENT

The machine is delivered with all adjustments carried out, however, the modalities of possible check
and adjustment are the following ones.
CHECK AND ADJUSTMENT OF THE PERPENDICULARITY BETWEEN THE SURFACE AND
THE SAW BLADE
1.
Disconnect the mitre saw. Block the head in a low position and lightly loosen the workbench
locking handle.
2.
Move on the left and on the right the workbench, then block it at 0° by using the handle 10 Fig. 1.
3.
Check that the saw blade Fig. 5 is at right angles with the fence by using a square (not provided)
and by placing it horizontally with one of its sides placed on the fence and the other one against
the saw blade.
4.
If you must carry out any adjustments, proceed as specified below:
 Loosen the locking bolts located on the fence 7 Fig. 1 by using an hexagonal wrench.
 Adjust the position of the fence with the square, then tighten the fence's locking bolts 7.
CHECK AND ADJUSTMENT OF THE PERPENDICULARITY BETWEEN THE WORKBENCH AND
THE SAW BLADE AT 0° AND 45°
1.
Disconnect the mitre saw. Block the head in a low position. Turn the workbench to 90° (see
previous paragraph).
2.
Loosen the inclination locking lever 13 Fig. 4 and move completely the head of the mitre saw on
the right, with the saw blade in vertical position. Then tighten the locking lever 13.
3.
Place a square (not provided) vertically, with a side placed on the workbench and the other
against the saw blade 5 Fig. 5. Check that the saw blade 5 is at right angles with the workbench
8.
4.
If an adjustment is necessary, loosen the inclination locking lever 13, then loosen the stop nut
21 Fig. 4 and turn the adjustment screw, while the blade is at 90°, until the head of the screw
gets in contact with the internal side of the knurled piece. Then tighten the lock nut 21 and check
it again.
5.
When you are sure that the saw blade is at right angles with the workbench, loosen the screw of
the pointer 23 Fig. 7 and adjust the reference sign by aligning it with the 0° sign of the graduated
scale.
6.
To check the 45° angle, loosen the inclination locking lever 13 and move the head on the left,
then tighten the locking lever.
7.
By using a 45° square b Fig. 8, check that the saw blade 5 is at 45° with the workbench 8.
8.
If an adjustment is necessary, loosen the locking lever 13. Then loosen the lock nut 22 Fig. 4
and turn the adjustment screw until the head of the screw gets in contact with the internal side of
the knurled piece with the saw blade at 45° with the workbench. Then tighten the stop nut 22.
9.
This mechanical stops allows you to rapidly place the blade at the most useful oblique angles,
that is to say 90° and 45°.
