CUTTING WITHOUR RADIAL MOVEMENT

When you have to cut workpieces that are thin enough it is not necessary to use the radial movement
of the saw blade, but it is preferable to use the mitre saw as a normal mitre saw with swinging head,
so that the cutting is carried out simply by lowering the saw blade.
To use the mitre saw this way you have to move the sliding arm completely to the back and then lock
the knob 14 Fig. 2. The operational procedure is:
1.
Move the arm backwards and lock the knob 14 Fig. 2 .
2.
Place the workpiece on the workbench 8 and against the fence 7.
3.
Start the machine, and when the saw blade reaches its normal speed, push the release lever of
the protective cap, lower the arm and cut the workpiece.
4.
After finishing cutting, release the switch and when the saw blade stops lift mitre saw's head.

SAW BLADE'S REPLACEMENT

CAUTION: only use saw blades suitable for crosscut. If you use carbide plate saw blades
ensure that they have a negative or null cutting angle. Do not use deep teeth saw blades since
they can bend and get in touch with the saw blade protective cap.
1.
Disconnect the mitre saw.
2.
Remove the lock screws A of the plastic support of the protective cap (see figures above).
Loosen the screw B to allow the rotation of the protective cap.
3.
Rotate the plastic protective cap 6 to its high position, as illustrated in the figures above.
4.
Unscrew the lock screw of the saw blade C by rotating it clockwise while pushing the locking
device of the axle 17 Fig.11, to prevent the saw blade 5 from rotating. Then remove the external
flange of the saw blade. Then remove the internal flange and the washer only to clean them.
5.
Be sure that the internal surfaces of the internal
and external flanges are clean and without any
extraneous substance.
6.
Be sure that the internal flange is well placed
on the axle.
7.
Assemble the new saw blade and be sure that
the teeth point downwards, then assemble the
external flange and the screw. Rotate the
screw of the axle C to the left to lock it, while
pushing the axle locking device 17 Fig. 11 to
prevent it from rotating. Ensure that the flanges
are well placed.
8.
Rotate the support of the plastic protective cap
support until the protective cap supporting hook
enters under the screw, then tighten the two
screws A (which you have removed at point 2) and B (loosened at point 2).
9.
Make the saw blade turn by hand in order to check there are not any problems, then start the
machine for an instant to verify that the saw blade does not get in contact with any mitre saw's
parts and that there are not any vibrations due to an incorrect assembly.
