2.1 Designated use

The MIG/MAG manual welding torch is used to safely weld low and high-
alloy materials. It consists of the torch neck with equipment parts and wear
parts, handle and cable assembly with central connector. The MIG/MAG
manual welding torch complies with
EN 60 974-7 and is not considered to be a device having its own functions.
Arc welding can only be carried out in connection with a welding power
source.
These operating instructions only describe the MB EVO PRO/MB EVO
MIG/MAG manual welding torch. The MIG/MAG manual welding torch must
only be operated using original ABICOR BINZEL spare parts.
The figures below show the MB EVO PRO 501 D version of the welding torch.
This device fulfils the requirements of the relevant EU directives.
Conformity is confirmed by the CE marking on the device.
The enclosed safety instructions must be observed.
• The device described in these instructions may be used only for the
purpose and in the manner described in these instructions. In doing so,
observe the operating, maintenance and servicing conditions.
• Any other use is considered improper.
• Unauthorised modifications or changes to enhance the performance are
not permitted.
