To simplify cleaning, dismantle the deep fat fryer:
1) Open the cover over the permanent metal filter
2) Open the appliance lid. Push a rod or similar into the holes on the hinge
mountings on the rear of the appliance and pull the lid up and out of the hinge
mountings at the same time
3) Remove the frying basket

The frying basket can be cleaned in the dishwasher. It is
dishwasher-safe. However, remove the handle
and remove it:
