Mounting

Improper mounting may damage the motor and machine.

Secure Motor to Machine Frame
Wipe down shaft and motor's rotor hub bore. Light oil residue is accep-
table, but remove grease and other contaminates.
If key is required: Insert the provided key into the keyway in the shaft
with the point toward the end of the shaft.
Slide the Cartridge DDR motor onto the shaft. Screw down the motor
enclosure with the flange of the machine (4 screws, not included in the
scope of supply).
Remove Cover
Remove the blue rear cover of the Cartridge DDR (8 or 12 screws).

Tighten Compression coupling
The screws can be reached through the holes labeled "A". When
tightening the screws always carry out the following steps in a circular
motion: 0,1Nm; 13Nm; 20Nm; 20Nm; 30Nm
Repeat the final step until the screws no longer turn. An incor-
rectly mounted compression coupling may lead to the motor and
machine becoming severely damaged.

Remove Transport Lock
Remove screws B and C of the transport lock.
Place the screws in the mounting fixtures intended for this purpose in
the plastic insert on the reverse side of the motor.

Ensure that the motor and load are able to rotate unhindered.
Turn the load by hand where possible.
Re-attach the rear cover (8 or 12 screws). When doing so, ensure the
encoder seal and O-ring are fitted properly.
