Status prior to mounting
When the motor is not mounted to a machine, there is a black Philips
A
screw in the hole labeled "A" and there is a silver hex alignment screw
B
in the hole labeled "B".
Secure Motor to Machine Frame
Wipe down shaft and motor's rotor hub bore. Light oil residue is accep-
table, but remove grease and other contaminates.
Slide the Cartridge DDR motor onto the shaft. Screw down the motor
enclosure with the flange of the machine (4 screws, not included in the
scope of supply).
Tighten screws in an alternating pattern to fully secure motor to machi-
ne frame.
Tighten Compression coupling
The clamping screw can be reached through the thread labeled "A".
Philips screw "A" therefore needs to be removed.
A
Use a hexagon-head screw with a torque wrench and tighten the screw
in "A" as follows:
C04X: 12.5 Nm
C05X/C06X: 30 Nm
Only this one screw is required for the compression coupling. An
incorrectly mounted compression coupling may lead to the motor
and machine becoming severely damaged.
Secure for Operation
Remove hexagon socket-head screw "B" and screw in thread "A" with a
A
tightening torque of at least 30 Nm.
B
A
Screw the Philips screw into thread "B" with a tightening torque of at
B
least 30Nm
.
Ensure that the motor and load are able to rotate unhindered.
Turn the load by hand where possible.
Status after mounting
When the motor is mounted to a machine, there is a black Philips
A
screw in the hole labeled "B" and there is a silver hex alignment screw
B
in the hole labeled "A".
