OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
10.1 Requirements for correct use
The picture above illustrates correct connection pattern of the air nailer to the compressor!
The EC 11148-1:2012 directive demands following standards of security for the usage of
compressed air nailers:
- Use quick connecting clamps when connecting device to compressed air source.
- Oxygen and flammable gases must not be used as energy source of an air nailer!
(So no compressed oxygen or any other gases)
- Furthermore the T 5040 shall only be connected to pressure air mains where the max.
operation pressure of the compressor does not exceed the max. allowed working pressure
of the nailer by more than 10%.
- Otherwise you must install a pressure regulating device (pressure regulator) between nailer
and compressor (see picture above).
HOLZMANN MASCHINEN can`t be made liable for any damages arising from not sticking
to these instructions.
- To ensure a long product life of your air nailer, the operation pressure of the compressor
must be adapted to the working pressure of the air nailer.
- Ensure to have an Oiler and a filter between nailer and compressor. Without this the
nailer will have defects much faster. Oiler and Filter are an integral part of machine
maintenance!
10.2 Operation
Check before every operation your T 5040 condition
Connect your T5040 to compressed air source
Pull the magazine entirely back, load it.
Push the magazine back forth until it snaps in.
Take care that the air purge is not directed towards a person.
Regulate the air pressure to the operations requirements and the nail/staples dimensions!!!
To find the correct pressure, take a sample piece and perform some sample shots to find the
correct pressure. Augment the pressure step by step until the nails /staples are shot in entirely.
Excessive pressure fatigues material unnecessarily.
MAINTENANCE
Before every maintenance
- Disconnect machine from the compressed air source
- Unload the magazine

Keep the machine always clean!
Do not forget to oil the moveable parts WEEKLY, especially the shooting device. Do not

oil excessively. The aim is to ensure a smooth operation of the shooting mechanism.
