3. A further brief press of the mode button enables
switching to COLD/AGM mode [4], [6] (here
too, automatic 12/24 V detection occurs togeth-
er with automatic commencement of charging).
4. By maintaining the mode button depressed for
three seconds, you can change to the special
charging modes: 13.6 V Power Supply [12],
12 V Advanced AGM [11], 12.8 V Lithium [10]
and 12 V Recover [9]. Briefly pressing the mode
button [8] allows you to change between the re-
ferred to special charging modes and the mains
adapter function.
Risk of explosion due to incorrect
mode selection.
Before selecting a mode, read
¾
the following information to avoid
personal injury or damage to the
device.
12 V NORMAL
Charging voltage 14.5 V; charging current 7.5 A;
battery capacity from 18-240 Ah
Charging mode for 12 V wet, gel, MF (mainte-
nance-free), VRLA, CA and EFB batteries. Once
charging has successfully completed (battery fully
charged), the device automatically switches to float
charging.
12V COLD/AGM
Charging voltage 14.7 V; charging current 7.5 A;
battery capacity from 18-240 Ah
Charging mode with higher charging voltage (than
12 V NORMAL) for 12 V lead-acid batteries at low
temperatures less than 10 °C or for AGM batteries.
Once charging has successfully completed (battery
fully charged), the device automatically switches to
float charging.
24 V NORM
Charging voltage 29 V; charging current 3.75 A;
battery capacity up to 10-120 Ah
Charging mode for 24 V wet, gel, MF (mainte-
nance-free), VRLA, CA and EFB batteries. Once
charging has successfully completed (battery fully
charged), the device automatically switches to float
charging.
DANGER!
24V COLD/AGM
Charging voltage 29.4 V; charging current 3.75 A;
battery capacity up to 10-120 Ah
Charging mode with higher charging voltage (than
24 V NORMAL) for 24 V lead-acid batteries at low
temperatures less than 10 °C or for AGM batteries.
Once charging has successfully completed (battery
fully charged), the device automatically switches to
float charging.
13.6 V POWER SUPPLY
Charging voltage 13.6 V; charging current 5 A
This special charging mode switches the charger into
a DC mains adapter with constant current and volt-
age. This mains adapter function is used to maintain
the on-board computer settings of a vehicle during a
repair or battery replacement so that there is no loss
of data. In addition, this mode can be used to sup-
ply power to 12 V AC devices such as tyre pumps,
oil changers, seat heaters, etc.
Attention!
This function is only available when the charger
is not connected to a battery. Prior to use, check
whether your 12 V DC device is compatible with
this mode. Ensure that the positive and negative
charging clamps do not touch; spark-protection
is deactivated while this function is being used.
Check the polarity of the charging clamps because
reverse-polarity protection is deactivated in this
mode.
12 V ADVANCED AGM
Charging voltage 15 V; charging current 7.5 A;
battery capacity from 18-240 Ah
Special charging mode for advanced AGM bat-
teries that require a higher charging voltage than
conventional AGM batteries. These batteries use
another battery technology and are used in micro
hybrid vehicles with automatic start-stop. Once
charging has successfully completed (battery fully
charged), the device automatically switches to float
charging.
Attention!
This mode is only suitable for 12 V ADVANCED
AGM batteries. This mode is not suitable for
conventional AGM batteries because of the higher
charging voltage. With other battery types, this
mode can result in loss of water or overcharging.
