• recycling valve (det. C4) allowing for the gradual drainage of an extraordinary quantity
of liquids entering the centrifugal separator or the Hydrocyclone;
• one-way valve (det. D1) is a device for installing in parallel two or more Turbo-Smart
units.
Installing the valve inside the centrifugal separator unit has enabled us to build a com-
plete appliance with small dimensions.
Turbo-Smart:
• allows for head regulation from zero to two meters in water column;
• standard version operates two dental chairs;
• by means of password (B) can be adjusted to operate three/four dental units;
• normally powered by 230 V single-phase (AC) - other voltages are available on
demand.
The features, adjustments and regulation possible on Turbo-Smart make it for all dental
practices: surgery, prosthetics and endodontics. Just regulate the head and you will have
the correct aspiration for any procedure.
Introduction
Following notes are meant to offer some advice, which we deem useful in designing and
organizing the technological room and for the aspiration and compressed air distribution
systems maintenance, as well.
Apart from dimensions of surgery, there are some regulations to comply with, fi rst of
all for safety of operators and patients, but also useful for a long life of machines and
plants.
Also a lobby before a bathroom, a room without windows or even a balcony can be
transformed into a small technical room fi tted with all safety devices required by regu-
lations.
Technical room
• Aspirator and compressor must be installed in a room where access to customers, to
extraneous people, and even to the surgery staff who has not been purposely trained
is forbidden.
• If such a room is not available, machines must be protected by a special box, which
must not be easy to take off, so that to avoid accidental contacts, dangerous because
of risk of electrical shocks, of machine running temperature, of the possibility (unlikely,
but not impossible) of fi re, of bursting and of contaminating air and/or liquid leakage.
• Use boxes designed and produced by the manufacturer of the machines only.
The technical room must be fitted with:
A smoke-detector or a temperature sensor, for fi re prevention, connected to a non-stop
surveillance service, for example to secretary's offi ce; install a suitable fi re extinguisher
outside the technical room and check regularly its effi ciency; see that routine and
extraordinary maintenance staff are properly protected against infected sprinkles and
accidental contacts; ensure that machines are not modifi ed, that safety protections are
not tampered with, and that no repair is made on machines in operation or on ones
connected to the mains.
• In the technical room temperature can range from a minimum of +5 °C to +35 °C
max.
• Electrical supply must be suffi cient for the loads specifi ed on machine rate plates; three
