Filling up with chain oil:

mark" is reached.
The"minimummark"isthelower
lineoftheoillevelindicator(10).
The oil tank holds 180 ml of oil.
• Use a chain oil with a low content of
adhesive additives.
Chain oil and bio chain oil with addi-
tives to reduce friction and wear can
be purchased from our online shop.
• Emptytheoiltankbeforelongerperi-
ods(6-8weeks)ofnon-use.
1. Unscrewtheoilfillcap(9)and
fillupwithchainoil.
2. Wipe off any spilled oil and
close the cap again.
Always switch off the device
and allow the motor to cool
before filling with chain oil.
There is a risk of fire if oil
overflows.
Removing/inserting the
rechargeable battery
1. Toinsertthebatteries(16)intothede-
vice,pushthebatteriesalongtheguide
rails(23)intothedevice.Youwillhear
them click into place.
2. Toremovethebatteries(16)fromthe
device,pressthereleasebutton
16a)onthebatteriesandpullthe

batteries out.
Operating
Switch on the chainsaw only when
chainbar,sawchainandsprocket
chain wheel covering are correctly assem-
bled.
Make sure you have a secure stance. Be-
forestarting,ensurethattheelectricchain-
saw is in contact with no objects.

Switching on
The device may only be used with
two batteries of the X 20 V Team
series from Parkside.
1. Placethebatteries(16)intothedevice
(see "Inserting/removing the recharge-
ablebattery").
2. Checkbeforethestart,
- whethersufficientchainoilisinthe
tankand,ifnecessary,refillwith
chain oil (see Chapter Operation
Start).

shiftthebrakearm(5)backagainstthe
frontgrip(4).

6. The power saw switches off when you
releasetheOn/Offswitch(2)again.
Switching for continuous running is not
possible.
