5. View the camera image on the panel PC; the X-value and Z-
value must both lie on the calibration edge.
6. Acknowledge the inserted adapter in the measurement soft-
ware; the measured values will be displayed.
» The VG Basic is set up and calibration is complete.
» Measurements can be performed using the calibrated adapter.

Creating a new adapter
New adapter
1. Press

» Only digits may be used for the ID.
3. Read the values for the X-axis and Z-axis engraved on the ad-
apter, and input them.
» The entries should be in millimetres or inches, radius or dia-
meter, as required.

Editing and deleting

All previously created values can be overwritten. X-values and Z-
values can be found on the GARANT adapter.
Delete the selected adapter.

MEASURING FUNCTION

Before performing a measurement, carry out the following hand-
ling steps:
1. Insert the adapter/calibration mandrel in the tool mounting.
2. Select or create the adapter.
3. Perform calibration.
