7) Before You Start
Battery
Connect the power supply on the back of the instrument.
Use the plug adapter to the power supply that is compatible with your wall socket.
The rechargeable battery should be charged for at least 3 hours before its first use.
A blue light on the on/off key indicates charging when the instrument is off.
Register your Device
You must register your Osstell IDx. The serial number can be found on the back of the instrument,
as well as in the settings section of the software.

8) Preparation and Set-up
Start the instrument by pressing the on/off key
The instrument is turned off by pressing the on/off key for 2 seconds.
Enter the settings menu by clicking
Select More to enter the different settings.
Settings
Audio
Sound on/off: Activate by clicking the circle. Click again to
Volume: To increase volume, click +. To decrease volume, click –
Date and Time
Time: Enter the time, click OK. Date: Enter the year, month and day, click OK.
Time zone: Choose in scroll bar.
Security
Change of pincode: Click **** . Enter 4-digit code, OK.
Language
Change of language: Choose in scroll bar.
Power
Display
To increase brightness, click +
To decrease brightness, click -
Save power
Time to standby: Enter the time when the instrument is to go into standby mode when
not in use, and end with OK. To activate - touch the screen.
Time to off: Enter the time when the instrument is to shut down after not being used,
and end with OK.
Exam
Work mode
Click the circle and Classic mode is selected.
Dental notation
Choose UNS or FDI dental notation mode using the arrows.
Reset Classic
To delete all measured values in Classic mode: Click OK.

Versions
Version designation of the software and the SmartPeg list.
Hardware
Serial number. Factory Reset: All patient, implant and measurement data will be delet-
ed on the IDx and Osstell Connect. All settings will be set to factory default.
Register product
Unlock: Enter PUK code, press OK.
