Warnings during and after charging

During charging, it is normal for the charger and the battery to be hot.
A new battery, or a battery unused for a long time, requires approximately 5 charge and discharge cycles to reach its
maximum capacity.
Do not charge the battery at an ambient temperature below 0°C (32°F) or above 45°C (113°F).
If the battery has been previously charged, do not recharge it after a few minutes of use in order not to impair its
efficiency.
Do not use a damaged battery.
Do not disassemble the battery or battery charger.
When the battery is not fitted on the shear, keep it away from conductive metal objects to avoid electrical risks due to
short circuits.
Do not short circuit the battery.
Do not store the battery near heat sources, in unventilated environments or in potentially explosive atmospheres. The
battery could explode or start a fire.
Do not charge the battery in humid environments or outdoors.
Do not use or charge the battery near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
As the battery charge decreases, the cutting capacity of the shear will be reduced.
Do not expose the battery to rain and store it in a dry place.
Do not immerse the shear, battery or charger in any liquid.
Do not insert nails into the battery; do not hammer or step on it, or toss it, or cause any other damage to it.
Do not make welds on the battery.
Do not reverse the polarity of connections or excessively discharge the battery.
Do not connect the battery to charging sockets or car cigarette lighters.
Do not use the battery with equipment other than those recommended by the Manufacturer.
Do not come into direct contact with the lithium cells of the battery.
Do not put the battery in the microwave or in containers at high temperatures or high pressures.
Do not use the battery if it leaks fluids.
Do not use the battery in an electrostatic environment (above 64V).
Do not use the battery if it shows corrosion, smells unpleasantly or is visibly deformed.
Should your skin or clothes come into contact with battery fluid, immediately rinse with water.
Keep the battery fully charged when the shear is not in use for long periods.
Always disconnect the battery charger from the mains once the batteries have been recharged.
