Replacing/Snapping into place
The disposable CO
absorber must be replaced as soon as one of

the following conditions applies:
–
The inspiratory CO
concentration has reached approx.
2
5 mmHg.
–
The soda lime in the absorber has turned 2/3 violet.
–
The disposable CO
absorber has been used for 4 weeks or
2
longer
NOTE
The color indicator can regenerate slowly and the soda lime may
revert to white, but its absorption capacity is nevertheless spent.
The color change is only an approximate indicator; the CO
monitoring is the decisive factor.
Always remove spent disposable CO
and dispose of immediately.
Replace the disposable CO

absorber by turning it upside down several times in order to
loosen up the soda lime.
